On 3 October, Sinfonia project partners from EURAC Research centre presented the Smart City plans that are currently being implemented in Innsbruck and Bolzano at the “Empowering Smart Solutions for Better Cities” conference, organised by the Smart Cities Information System in Budapest.

The conference aimed to present the latest and most innovative solutions developed for cities in the fields of urban planning, sustainable energy and mobility, Information and Communication Technologies, smart business models and citizen engagement.

The solutions for energy efficient refurbishment, optimisation of district heating networks and smart grid development implemented in the framework of the Sinfonia Smart City Initiative have been presented by Daniele Vettorato from EURAC during the parallel sessions dedicated to success stories from European projects on 3 October.

The event was the opportunity for Sinfonia project partners to exchange on good practices, lessons learned and potential for replication of the Sinfonia solutions with other European project partners, city representatives, and other stakeholders active in the development of Smart City plans.
