SINFONIA and the Municipality of Pafos will join forces to organised the mini conference “Low Carbon Cities for Better Living” on the afternoon of the 1st of June 2017.
The conference will be an opportunity for the city to present its ambitions for sustainable urban development, and to discuss how European cities can address the energy challenge and benefit from each other’s experiences.
Besides the Municipality, key guest speakers will include representatives from the cities of Innsbruck (AT) and Bolzano (IT). Both have undertaken district scale refurbishment projects as part of the SINFONIA project and have engaged in long term collaboration with Pafos. Moreover, the conference will feature speakers from the national industry and energy sectors, who will discuss how best to stimulate the deployment of energy efficient refurbishment solutions in Cyprus.
Who should participate?
Whether you are an architect or urban planner, represent a social housing company, a municipality, an industry, or even a financing institution, this event will be an opportunity for you to learn from the real life experiences of cities engaged in sustainable renovation processes and discuss future plans for Pafos and beyond. The event is primarily aimed at Cypriot stakeholder but is open to anyone interested (the working language will be English).
