Rosenheim has found a new solution to reduce the number of private vehicles on the city’s road: stimulate the use of shared electric vehicles in multi-family dwellings. In order to reduce the number of vehicles - especially second cars - the Rosenheim-based property developer P+S baupartner is using an e-Car-Sharing model for the first time in a new development area in the north of Rosenheim. Within this new project, two electric cars will be made available for buildings‘ residents through a basic reservation process. The first electric car is expected to be available from September 2020. In addition, a photovoltaic system with an output of 20kWp has been installed on the roof of the car park. The electricity produced will be used for lighting, and any surplus will be fed into the local electricity grid.
