La Rochelle: new training module for energy efficient district heating

 

On 13 March 2018, the University of La Rochelle opened a five weeks online training module dedicated to the optimisation of boilers’ energy performance. During ten minutes per day, the online courses allow current and future professionals’ in civil engineering to develop and strengthen their competences for the design, control and remote management of boiler plants.

 

The main objective of the course is to simplify the infrastructures and remove useless components to create more performant plants. The online training module (MOOC), has been developed by Jean-Luc Faure and Claude Moimeau, professors at the University of La Rochelle, in cooperation with Tipee, French technology platform for sustainable buildings, and the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME).

 

This training module will represent a new opportunity for heating professionals working on the Sinfonia project in La Rochelle will share their experience and foster the replication of energy-efficient district heating solutions in the city.
